Dal Sahota Therapies and Mental Health Training  |  Last updated August 2026

1. Introduction

This Refund and Returns Policy explains the conditions for refunds across every product, service, course, training program and appointment offered by Dal Sahota Therapies and Mental Health Training (the Company). It should be read together with our Terms of Use, which set out the booking, notice and attendance rules referred to below. By purchasing or booking, you accept this policy in full.

2. Digital products

Digital products include audio tools, workbooks, guides, templates and any other downloadable or online content.

  • All digital product sales are final.
  • No refunds are provided for change of mind, personal circumstances, misunderstanding of the product, or perceived lack of results.
  • Access is granted immediately after purchase. Once access has been provided the product is considered delivered.
  • You are responsible for reviewing the product details before purchasing.

3. Self-paced courses and online programmes

  • Enrolments are final once payment has been processed.
  • No refunds are provided for change of mind, workload, illness, personal circumstances or delays in completion.
  • Access periods are stated at purchase. Extensions may be offered at the Company’s discretion.

4. Live services, general

The following applies to every live service, meaning MHFA courses, in-person training, and therapy and hypnotherapy appointments. Sections 5, 6 and 7 add service-specific terms.

  • Fees are payable in full at booking and are non-refundable once paid, except as set out in this policy or as required by the Australian Consumer Law.
  • If you cannot attend and give the required written notice by email (three business days for courses and training, two business days for appointments), you may transfer once to another available date at no charge. No refund is provided.
  • If you do not attend, arrive late, leave early, or give less than the required notice, your booking or appointment is forfeited in full. No refund, credit or transfer is provided.
  • Course bookings must be completed within three months of the booking date. Bookings not completed within this period lapse and are forfeited.
  • If the Company reschedules a session, you will be moved to the next available date. This does not qualify for a refund.

5. Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) courses

MHFA courses are delivered under licence from MHFA Australia and are governed by MHFA Australia’s national policies, which the Company cannot vary.

  • All MHFA eLearning vouchers and Learner Access Passes are purchased by the instructor from MHFA Australia on your behalf and are non-refundable. Once purchased or assigned, the cost has been incurred and no refund can be issued for any reason.
  • MHFA Australia’s fees may change without notice. Any increase or new fee that applies before you complete your course is payable by you and is not refundable.
  • eLearning access is valid for three months from assignment. If it expires before you complete the course, a new voucher and, where required, a new Learner Access Pass must be purchased by you at the current price. No refund is provided for expired eLearning.
  • If you cannot attend your booked Zoom sessions and give at least three business days written notice, you may transfer once to another available date within three months of your original booking. No refund is provided.
  • If you do not attend, join late, leave early, or give less than three business days notice, your booking is forfeited in full. No refund, credit or transfer is provided.
  • If you have not completed the eLearning you cannot attend the Zoom sessions. Missing a session for this reason is treated as non-attendance. No refund is provided.
  • If you book the wrong date you must move to another available date under the transfer rules. No refund is provided.
  • If MHFA Australia’s minimum of six confirmed participants is not met and the course is rescheduled, you will be moved to the next available date and your three month booking validity is extended by the delay. This does not qualify for a refund.
  • Refresher bookings made with expired accreditation are not refundable. Accreditation extensions are a matter for MHFA Australia.

6. In-person and organisational training

  • Bookings are final once the quote or booking form has been accepted and payment or the stated deposit has been received.
  • Cancellation or rescheduling by the client with at least three business days notice (or the longer period stated in the quote) allows one free transfer to another date within three months. No refund is provided.
  • Cancellation or rescheduling with less notice forfeits the full fee.
  • Any MHFA Australia fees already incurred for named participants, and any travel, accommodation or venue costs already incurred, are non-refundable.
  • Substitution of a participant from the same organisation may be permitted if approved in writing before the training date and before any eLearning has been assigned.

7. Therapy and hypnotherapy appointments

  • Appointments cancelled or rescheduled with at least two business days (48 hours) notice by email may be moved once to another available time at no charge. No refund is provided.
  • Appointments cancelled or rescheduled with less than two business days notice, and missed appointments, are charged in full and are not refundable.
  • If you arrive or join late, the appointment ends at the scheduled time and the full fee applies. If you have not arrived or joined within 15 minutes of the start time the appointment is treated as missed.
  • Multi-session programmes are purchased as a package. Unused sessions are not refundable and must be used within the period stated at purchase.

8. Incorrect purchases

  • If you purchase the incorrect product or booking, the payment will be applied to the correct product or booking. No refund is given.
  • Any balance owing must be paid before access is granted or a place is confirmed.

9. Duplicate payments

If a genuine duplicate payment is made in error, the duplicate amount will be refunded once verified.

10. Payment disputes and chargebacks

  • If you lodge a chargeback after receiving digital content, eLearning, training or an appointment, all access will be cancelled immediately.
  • Full evidence of purchase, access, delivery and communication will be provided to the relevant financial institution.

11. Exceptional circumstances

Refunds are not provided in any of the following circumstances, including but not limited to bereavement, illness, workload, change in employment, personal distress, family events, travel disruption or technical problems on your side.

Where the required notice has been given, you may reschedule to another available date under the transfer rules in Section 4 and the service-specific sections above.

12. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where a refund is required by law, it will be provided.
